Some things I do ...

I love to write …

I write for various technology blogs under different pseudonyms.

I have my own tech blog called FIX YOUR THINKING, or FYT; for short.

The site was originally started as jackwhispers.com ~ to expose an intellectual property thief in the Apple Computer industry.

This site has about 18,000-25,000 pageviews a month and has won numerous awards including BEST Technology Writing, The Blog 100, and Legal Eyes On The WWW's Best.

Fix Your Thinking has everything from travel tips and movie reviews to technology industry analysis and helpful references like bluetooth headset pairing codes and instructions to discussion about Phone Call Recording Laws.

The Phone Call Recording reference has received over 7 MILLION pageviews since first publishing it.

Yearly, I consult with attorneys who use this reference in court cases.

When I won a landmark court case that established blogger rights and established bloggers as journalists, the site was overloaded as headlines made their way through technology and legal blogs.

The biggest single day pageview total for Fix Your Thinking was 1.44 million!

I am the editor and lead writer for my town's only news source, The Liberty Monitor in Liberty, South Carolina.

The town use to have a paper called The Monitor. Many people called the paper The Liberty Monitor. It was known widely across the county as the best. The Monitor never had an online presence. When I moved to Liberty in 2007, I noticed that the town didn't seem to get its share of fair press and that often big news would go completely unreported. It also seemed that the City wanted to hide financial matters from the public. It took me two years to develop a strategy for a news source. I wanted it to be unique and be a complete reflection of my personality.

I originally started The Liberty Monitor as ATLIBERTYTOSAY.COM. I just thought that was a cool name. Many of the original readers still call the site At Liberty To Say and I maintain the web address even though I've been offered money for it by a few political organizations.

The Liberty Monitor's traffic has grown steadily each month. Daily pageviews average 33,000. There have been spikes in daily traffic as high as 381,000 pageviews!

I use to maintain a page called The Apple People. This website mostly centered around my Apple Computer sales, service, and repair business ~ something I only do on the side now. My original concept was to talk about things that I came across while doing performing service work. I found out that I'd rather not make too many waves and just keep it a personal domain for my own pleasure.
PPPLE.COM
I still have the site and occasionally I write something there. I mostly use the domain for my email address so I can kind of appear to be part of Apple. I thought it made me look more legit. The only trouble is - it's VERY hard to tell somebody my email address ****** AT P-P-P-L-E DOT COM, that's three "P's" as in Paul. Spell it like "Apple" but with a "P" instead of an "A".

It ends up not being a very easy address to copy or get wrong IF YOU KNOW IT and email harvesting bots tend think it's a typo.

I maintain a website for my father's political action group called Conservatives Of The Upstate.

I 99% agree with everything I post as it's pretty much left up to me. The site has been helpful to local citizens in my county and state. While controversial at times, the site stands for freedom, justice, liberty, and most importantly, God fearing love for our fellow man.
